Welsh & English

Date: 1st March 2024, 8pm – 11pm, St Andrews Hall

Exactly 20 years before the date of this tasting, Penderyn (based in the Brecon Beacons of Wales) released its first whisky. Since then, both Welsh and English whiskies have seen a revival, after almost a century without whisky production in either country. Moreover the distilleries that have sprung up across England and Wales aren’t just trying to reproduce Scottish or Irish whisky – they’re working to create unique and memorable spirits in their own right. The names of these distilleries might not be quite as familiar as Laphroaig or Glenfiddich, but that doesn’t mean their drams are any less delicious! We hope you can join us for this exploration of some of the most exciting developments in Welsh and English whisky.

Refund requests must be made more than 48 hours in advance of the tasting to be guaranteed. Any requests made with less notice will be considered on a case by case basis.

Buying your ticket early helps us plan for the right numbers and reduces the chance of us having to cancel. If we have to cancel, or reduce the scale of an event, due to ticket-sale forecasting, we may have to refund some or all tickets.
