Ready for our third installment of the Summer of Spirits? On September 9 at 8pm in the Tower Room at Selwyn College, we’ll be presenting you with 6 delicious and interesting rums. I can hardly wait to be transported to the Caribbean, surrounded by nothing but the water and the sand and the rum. Please join us for this fantastic tasting!

I have known Alan for a few years now and every opportunity he gets, he finds a different rum for Ben and myself to try – and they are always delicious! For this tasting, he will present us with rums bottled independently, largely by whisky bottlers. These rums have a higher abv, and no sugar or chill filtration. Personally, I don’t know very much about rum, and am eager to learn more. Before Alan introduced me to it, I always thought rum is really sweet and not to my taste. However, because the rums we will taste have no sugar added, they are not incredibly sweet and instead have some awesome flavours that are worth exploring. I have no doubt it’s going to be a fun tasting!
